Whether you're considering therapy for the first time or returning
after a break, I'm glad you're here. Getting started can be overwhelming, but you are not alone. Please take a look around to learn more about me, the services I provide, and my approach.
I love the helping process, and I'm here to learn about you – your wisdom, your creativity, and the ways you have coped with challenges in the past.
During our time together, we will explore the experiences you have had, bringing awareness to things that are working well and to things you would like to change. Maybe you have struggled with self-esteem and fear being judged by others. Perhaps you’re taking on a new career, beginning a new relationship, or navigating parenthood – situations that can bring both excitement and uncertainty.
Whatever your reason for getting started, I offer a space full of compassion and free of judgement to help guide you where you would like to go. I look forward to the opportunity to assist you in your pursuit of wellness.
My goal is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
Currently, I provide individual therapy for adults and teens.
Parenting is hard, but having support can help. I have several years of experience providing support to caregivers utilizing evidence-based interventions, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Together, we will work to improve the quality of your relationship with your child, increasing the positive interactions and practicing proven techniques for setting limits when necessary.
I'm a North Carolina native, born in the Bull City and raised in the Queen City.
I moved to New York in 2011 where I attended undergraduate and graduate school
before making my way back to NC in 2019.
I previously worked as a mental health therapist in outpatient and school-based clinics in East Harlem providing therapy to children, teens, and adults. Since returning to NC, I have served as a family therapist providing in-home and virtual support to caregivers using evidence-based models. In this role, I am able to provide live coaching on strategies that enhance the attachment between caregivers and their children and increase caregiver confidence in managing challenging behaviors and situations.
Before beginning my own practice, I worked as a mental health therapist at a group psychotherapy practice in Raleigh, NC. During this time, I served adults 18 and older experiencing anxiety, depression, strained relationships, parenting frustrations, professional challenges, and stressful transitions. In my work with individuals, I use a psychodynamic approach to explore deeply-rooted patterns of behavior. My therapeutic framework incorporates cognitive-behavioral and relational therapy modalities to support clients with their individual needs.
Who am I outside of the therapy room?
I enjoy quiet walks, hot tea, rewatching my favorite shows, and rereading my favorite childhood novels. I'm a proud mama of three. In my free time, you can catch me wandering through the aisles of Target, eating way too much candy, or online shopping for items that will never leave my cart.
